GOLFER Alan Samuels, a self-employed accountant, has bagged his first-ever hole-in-one at Oake Manor Golf Club. Using a seven iron he took just one stroke at the 155-yard 14th hole last week.

He was playing a round with partners Nick Fenn, Cliff Trott and Bob Tye, and Nick said: “Alan was gobsmacked and the rest of us jumped around like demented chickens.”

Ironically, playing partner Cliff also scored a hole in one about a year ago – on the same hole.
