Club captain Richard Clist and his wife Ladies Captain Jane Clist won the Jack King Husband and Wife Trophy at Oake Manor Golf Club.

The competition was an American Greensomes with Richard and Jane winning with 40 points, a close second with 39 points were past Captain Graham Salway with his wife Kathy. In third, also 39 points but losing on countback, were Mike and Liz How.

Nearest the pin for Ladies on the 10th hole was won by Clare Tough while Paul Hadley was nearest the pin on the 14th hole for the Gents and Mike Everett and Clare Tough were nearest the pin in two shots on the 18th hole.

The competition was played last Sunday week on a lovely sunny day with the course in superb condition and all players enjoyed a delicious meal after the game.
