OAKE Manor Golf Club held the Doombar Classic Stableford Team Competition on Saturday, with the best two scores to count.
The winners were Graham Jones, Noah Jones and Theo Jones with a superb score of 97 points, six points clear of second-placed David Dennett, Bob Jenkins, Trevor Lant and Gareth Morgan, who had 88 points. Third were Richard Beesley, Neil Blackmore, Graeme Garwood and Graham Whiskin with 87 points and in fourth spot with 86 points were Tom Bordier, Andy Ford, John Lowe and Mark Wooliscroft.
Nathaniel Pepperell won the previous week’s Midweek Stableford Competition with an excellent score of 43 points to win Division One. Second in Division One was Jamie Short with 41 points, James Rew was third with 40 points and Jason Brock was fourth with 39 points.
David Franks won Division Two scoring 40 points, George Wagstaff came second, also with 40 points, Ian Blackwell came third with 38 points and Robert Stevens was fourth, also with 38 points. Michael Fordon won Division Three, scoring 39 points, Andrew Salter was second, also with 39 points, Antony Date was third with 38 points and Carl Davies was fourth, also with 38 points.
Keyleigh Avey won the Ladies Sunday Stableford Competition, scoring 36 points. Nadine Bidgway came second with 34 points, Jane Clist was third with 30 points and Megan Hembury was fourth with 29 points.
Chris Yeates won Division One in the Father’s Day Sunday Medal Competition, scoring a nett 67. The next three players all scored nett 69, but on count back James Rew came second, Calum Pinn was third and Tom Bordier fourth.
Hal White won Division Two with nett 69, Paul Avey was second with nett 71, Sam Burgess was third, also nett 71, and David Rossillo was fourth with nett 72. Mark Pritchard won Division Three with an excellent score of nett 64, the best of the day. Rupert Potter was second with a nett 69, Rufus Williams-Pritchard was third, also nett 69, and Kirk Poulson was fourth with nett 70.
Matthew Croker won the week’s Midweek Stableford Competition with 38 points. Michael Bright was second in Division One with 37 points, Josh Martin was third with 36 points and Daniel White was fourth, also with 36 points. Thomas Horsey won Division Two, scoring 35 points, Peter Bailey was second with 34 points, David Perry was third, also with 34 points and Mike Cottrell was fourth with 33 points. In Division Three the first four players all scored 37 points. On countback Barry Roberts was first, Jim Ward second, Adam How third and Anthony Date fourth.PETER SWANN
