OAKE Manor Golf Club Ladies have been promoted to Division One of the Somerset Inter Club League for 2018 after achieving second place in Division Two. Well done to all the ladies who played during the year.

Meanwhile, Martin Rivers has won the Seniors Singles Knock Out Cup at Oake, narrowly beating Brian Thomas in the final.

Jeff Copp and Peter Taylor won the Seniors Pairs KO, beating Mike Amos and Eddie Hennessy in the final.

Richard Bryant, scoring 44 points, won Division One of the Men’s Sunday Stableford Competition. Kevin Ward came second with 42 points and Neil Blackmore third with 40 points. Colin Harriss won Division Two with 42 points, Roger King was second with 39 points and Gary Porter third, also 39 points.

Di Tiplady won the Ladies Tuesday Stableford with 34 points. Shane Bordier came second with 33 points and Ros Shepherd was third with 32 points.r
