OAKE Manor Golf Club’s senior section held their Championship Medal competition on Monday of last week.

The Gross Champion was Michael Bridge with gross 80, second gross was Martin Rivers with 82, Colin Warnes was third with 87 and Colin Brown was fourth, also with gross 87.

John Stinchcombe was the Nett Champion, scoring nett 72, narrowly beating Phil Grourk, also 72, on count back. Harvey Piper was third with 73 and Colin Gould fourth, also with 73.

The Juniors held their championship the same day. Max Popham won both the Gross and Nett Championships. Best gross Max Popham gross 78, second James Rew 79, Junior captain Calum Pinn was third with 81. Best nett Max Popham nett 63, second Theo Jones 65 and third Benjamin Thompson 69.

Judy Mckellar won the Senior Ladies Trophy the next day for the best score for a lady over 60. Judy won Division Two with 36 points, second was Ros Shepherd with 35 points, Ginny Farnworth-Smith was third with 33 points and Tamsin St George was fourth, also 33 points.

Suzanne Reed won Division One, scoring 37 points – the best score of the day. The next three players in Division One all scored 33 points. On count back Pam Akers was second, Angela Warnes was third and Nadine Bidgway was fourth.

Jamie Tong won Division One of the Wednesday Midweek Stableford competition, scoring 40 points. Ian Blackwell came second with 39 points, Mark Tydings was third with 38 points and Michael Tourle was fourth with 36 points.

Greg Scribbins won Division Two, scoring 40 points, Max Popham was second with 38 points, Robert Stevens was third with 36 points and Daniel Trapnell was fourth with 34 points.
