MAY was a glorious month for the horses enjoying their holidays, with plenty of sunshine and thoroughly enjoyed their relaxing time at Higher Holworthy Farm.

The Staff are also enjoying a break and we only have a small team in to ride the horses as well as get all the boxes cleaned out for when the horses return early July.

Golden Ace, our very own Golden Girl who is our biggest ever winner after landing the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Fesitival, paraded at our local Point To Point at Holnicote by invitation of the committee. Safe to say she enjoyed showing herself off to her adoring public, only a week after her exploits at Punchestown!

She is now enjoying a well deserved holiday before looking forward to next season. We also enjoyed a small celebration with the team to thank them all for their hard work and to recognise their achievements with Golden Ace

Fair Dinkum has been knocking on the door in his last two runs, finishing second and third at Salisbury and Bath under great rides from Keiran O’Neill. Hopefully he will get his head back in front shortly for his owner Derek Coles and Phillip Moore.

Native Moon ran another great race to finish third at Worcester, hopefully more to come this summer. Borderline finally made his seasonal debut at Newton Abbot and finishing well in third, showing improved form thanks to his wind operation this Spring.

Bye Bye Salam is learning his trade and will benefit from a step up in trip in his next run .Looking ahead we are opening up the yard as part of National Racehorse Week on Friday 29th August for the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to meet the team, the horses and see the yard.
