STRUGGLING Wellington have been forced into making changes for today's (Sat) away game against Falmouth Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League.

But assistant player-manager Jack Porter, who is himself suspended for one match after collecting five bookings, said today: "We have a big enough squad to choose from."

However, he admitted: "It's been tough playing so many away games and I think the lads are beginning to feel it. We knew this would be case, but it doesn't make it any easier.

"Travelling down to Falmouth along with holiday traffic is not ideal."

Other players missing today include Tom Stone, who has just returned to the club from Buckland, Rohan Poulsom, and Lewis Jennings, while goalkeeper Shay Allen is unlikely to be back until the end of the month through injury.

Porter added: "Rhys Williiams has done a great job for us in goal. If it was not for him, we would hqve lost far more heavily at Saltash (4-1).

Falmouth have made a good start to the season and are second in the table, having won at Nailsea and Tickenham last week.

Meanwhile Wellington Reserves, who lost on penalties away to Welton Rovers Reserves in the Somerset Senior Cup last weekend, play at home to Bow Amateur Athletic in the first division of the Devon and Exeter League.

Wellington A, who drew 3-3 away to Nether Stowey in the first division of the Taunton Saturday League, are home to Bridgwater Wolves at The Rec.

Wellington side Moortown play at home to Taunton North Robbins in Division One of the Somerset Sunday League at the Playing Field on Sunday (10.45).
