WELLINGTON'S footballers and rugby players both lost league games yesterday (Sat).

Wellington went down 3-2 at home to Barnstaple Town in the Premier Division of the Toolstation League after taking an early lead through Tom Burt.

It was a disappointing result after gaining good draws against Torpoint Athletic and Buckland Athletic in the past few weeks.

It means Wellington remain second form bottom with only point-less Millbrook below them.

Wellington's rugby boys went down to a 50-0 away loss against top of the table Sidmouth in Regional Two South West - their heaviest defeat of the season.

It meant the Devon side completed the season's double over Wellington.
