BELL Green play Mowers in Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League’s Ken Bright Cup final at the Nynehead Club next Wednesday, January 21.

The Bee Gees booked their place in the final when they beat Home Guard IV 9-5, although both teams scored 350. Paul Rowlandson hit 47 for the winners while Pete Spencer knocked 59 for the Guard.

In the other semi-final, Mowers beat King Pins 10-4 with a 39-pin winning margin. Steve Foster scored 54 for Mowers while Paul Winter was tops for Pins with 53.

Meanwhile, Relyon and Bell Green continue their battle at the top of the Gerald Thorne Championship with away games on Friday, January 16. Bell Green play OBA while Relyon play Shooters.

Cottage Pies, four points behind the leading two but with a crucial game in hand, entertain Reservists.
