A MEMBER of a local trampolining club is looking for glory on the world stage.

Emma Mason, of the Whirlwinds Academy which is based at Chelston Business Park, near Wellington, has been selected to represent Great Britain on the trampoline at the 31st World Age Group Championships (13-14) at Pamplona, Spain.

Whirlwinds Academy has previously seen DMT competitors reach Worlds, but this marks a historic first for the club - their very first trampolinist representning GBR on the world stage.

The club says this is Emma’s reward for ‘all her hard work, dedication amd determination’ put in during training.

Having flown out to Spain, she will be competing in the individual and synchronised trampoline on Saturday, November 15.

Emma has been a member of the club since 2018 and has been part of the GBR squad since January, 2024. She moved from the GBR development squad in January of this year to the GBR junior squad.
