WELLINGTON Netball club have enjoyed their last training sessions of the season and are now closed until January 9.

They have experienced great success this year. The Juniors are fully immersed in Somerset County Netball and have been working hard to develop their skill and game play. The club have welcomed eight new Bee players this year and they enjoyed playing in their first tournament in November.

Senior netball remains strong and four teams continue to play in the SASP social league at Taunton School. All four teams represented the club well this season - Wasps and Monumentals battled in the third division following promotion last season, Warriors played in the top division with some awesome netball on display against tough opposition, while Welly Boots played in the second division and pulled in second place after another successful season on court.

The festive spirit infused the club's end-of-year celebrations, blending Christmas-themed training sessions with an off-court extravaganza at Rumwell, where the senior club members enjoyed a fancy meal. Beyond the courts, the club acknowledges the indispensable contributions of their devoted coaches and committee members, expertly led by Chairperson Melanie Ayers.

Gratitude extends to the club sponsors—Seasons Ecology, Somerset Motorhomes, Braziers Coffee Roaster, and the overarching support from Mount Vets, all of whom play a pivotal role in the club's success. The Wellington Netball Club eagerly anticipates a rejuvenated start in the New Year with more netball to play than ever before.
