WELLINGTON road racer Matt Pearce says he’s doubtful he will ride on a regular basis next year.

He said: “The costs have risen so much - £23,000 for full Superstock 1000 season now - that it is unlikely I will be able to do a whole season.

"So the intention is that I will choose four-five select events for 2018, probably a couple of club races and a couple of British Superbike events, as the bike, with this year’s upgrades, was more competitive at BSB than expected.

“I will  be fundraising for that when I have further details and a more concrete plan for next season.”
