ALEX Pope, Wellington’s former joint manager, has left Tiverton Town after joining them at the beginning of the season as head coach.

Pope quit Wellington at the end of last season along with joint manager Tim Legg who has since joined Chard Town - as a player.

Pope joint Tiverton just before the season started.

Pope, who turned down the chance of becoming sole manager of Wellington, said today (Thurs): “It was not a right fit. It was a big commitment and it was taking time away from my business."
