WELLINGTON’S hopes of a top-three finish in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth League suffered a setback when they lost 4-1 away to highflyers Street in midweek.

Wellington, who went into the game without a number of players because of injuries and unavailabilities, fell behind in the first half before Link Nash netted an equaliser with a header from a corner.

Wellington, who remain fourth in the table, play away to sixth-placed Tiverton Town in their next match on Tuesday, March 10. This will be followed by a home fixture against Chard Town, who are lying third, on Tuesday, March 17.

The table is headed by Willand Rovers who have won six of their eight matches while Street are second, two points behind, both sides having played the same number of games.

Frome Town are bottom of the eight-team division and have yet to pick up a point following six successive defeats.
