OAKE Manor Golf Club captain Dave Kinnear has held his Charity Day with 116 golfers taking part, playing a Fourball Bowmaker Competition for the Founders Day Trophy and raising around £1,500 for the Captains Charity - the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The Founders Day Trophy winners were Nigel Foster, Kate Foster, Emma Fitzgerald and David Wheeler with a score of 94 points. In second place were Matthew Bright, Michael Bright, Michael Andrews and Nigel Foxwell with 93 points. Paul Flay, Simon Mankin, Richard Goodman and Thomas Bordier were third with 92 points.

Steven Clapp won the John Stevens Cup in the Saturday Medal Competition with an excellent score of nett 63. Dave Hollow came second in Division One with nett 65 and Paul Flay was third with nett 66. Rob Larcombe won Division Two, scoring nett 64, Jammie Biddiscombe came second with nett 67 and Dave Kinnear was third with nett 69. Roger King won Division Three with nett 65, Michael Osguthorpe came second with nett 66 and Bernard Reed was third with nett 67.

Simon Greaves won the Sunday Stableford Competition scoring 41 points, Anthony Date was second with 39 points and Simon Mankin came third with 38 points.

Daphne Priddy won the Ladies Sunday Medal Competition with nett 68, Jane Clist came second with nett 70 and Rose Jarvis was third with nett 73.

Ladies competition secretary Amanda Mathers scored nett 65 to win the Ladies Tuesday Medal Competition, Nancy Marshall came second in Division One with nett 68 and Pam Akers was third with nett 71. Ladies captain Pam Kinnear won Division Two with nett 70, Mary Beakes was second with nett 75 and Patricia Frazer came third with nett 76.

In the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition Richard Barker was the clear winner with 43 points, David Jewell came second with 39 points and Patrick Cole was third also with 39 points.
