WELLINGON Under 9s travelled to Watchet under the glorious sunshine. The young Wellington side put in an impressive performance, showcasing their football prowess throughout the morning.

Wellington played some excellent football in spells, dominating possession and creating numerous chances. They kept the play simple, passing the ball across the pitch with precision, which allowed their attacking players to find space and threaten the opposition goal.

The hard work and discipline of the Wellington players paid off, as they emerged victorious in all four games, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one. The goal scorers for the day included Jack Jorge (3), Rex Beatty (3), Jude Norman, Louis Molloy, Fraser May, Tom Kennen, and thunderbolt strikes from defenders Logan Thorpe and Kohen Woodgate.

The performance of the team was a credit to the players, who demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to winning the ball back throughout the pitch. This collective effort laid the foundation for their impressive results.

A special mention must go to Rex Beatty, who scored his 100th career goal for the club, and Omeiza Zutu Onozutu, who made his long-awaited debut in goal, pulling off some great saves.

The club would like to extend a big thank you to their sponsors.
