WIVELISCOMBE winger Jake Sharland says he will start next season – whenever that might be – fitter than ever.
The 28-year-old winger, the club’s director of rugby, missed much of last season with hamstring problems but still finished as top try scorer.
“I was training for a marathon and struggled with injury, which I think was due to this,” he said. “I’m very much looking forward to pre-season training and meeting up with the lads again. We’ve been keeping fit with challenges on social media.
“We still have no chairman and we are still looking for a head coach to replace Peter and Brian Stone. We’re hoping to have a meeting in a couple of weeks to discuss this.”
Wiveliscombe will again be playing in Western Counties West next season after avoiding relegation.
