WELLINGTON lst XV found themselves with a blank Saturday after their home game against Ivybridge in Regional Two South West was postponed because of the bad weather.

The decision to call off the game was made early in the morning to prevent Ivybridge making a fruitless journey. It means Wellington remain bottom of the table, still in search of their first victory of the season.

They have lost all ten of their games and are six points behind fellow strugglers Cullompton, who have played one more match.

In the latest round of games, leaders Weston super Mare maintained their 100 per cent record with a 67-12 home victory over second-placed Tiverton, who provide the opposition for Wellington on Saturday, December 13. The gap between Weston and Tiverton is now 14 points.

Third-placed Winscombe did not play because of the weather while fourth-placed Wadebridge Camels won a thrilling home match against Okehampton 31-28 to record their seventh victory of the season.
