WELLINGTON Rugby Club welcomed local schools for a Floodlit TagFest on Thursday of last week.

Six primary schools - Beech Grove, Sampford Arundell, Langford Budville, Wellesley Park, Oak Bradford & Nynehead and Rockwell Green - fielded a total of eight teams with about 90 children in total taking part.

Split into two pools they all played three games with some fast running ‘tag’ rugby played with passion, individual and team spirited flare.

Ultimately the spirt of rugby was played out in an abundance.

Despite a little rain, spirits were high, and the event was topped off by Wellington RFC captain Paddy Jarman presenting all players with a ‘Wellington RFC Medal’.

The club would like to thank all who attended and who made it possible - parents, grandparents, schools, teachers and most of all, the children.

Wellington RFC welcome all players aged six-year-plus for training/playing every Sunday at 10am until next April.
