WELLINGTON Rugby Club’s players are continuing pre-season training at the Athletic Ground on Wednesdays.

Coach Allyn Chetland asks players to inform the club if they will be training. “We can only train in groups of six which means we’re restricted in what we can do,” he said. There is still no word on when the season will get under way with September almost certainly ruled out.

Wellington’s annual meeting is on Friday, July 31, and will almost certainly be held electronically.

WIVELISCOMBE Rugby Club will be holding their annual meeting in the clubhouse this evening (Friday, 7pm) and they will be voting in a new chairman and treasurer.

Pre-season training continues on a twice-weekly basis – Tuesdays and Thursdays 6.30pm – and players should inform director of rugby Jake Sharland (07889 206694) if they will be attending.
