WELLINGTON have been drawn against Somerset Premier side Gordano in the semi-finals of the Somerset RFU Vase.
The tie will be played on a neutral ground with the date still to be decided.
Wellington have so far reached the last four without handling a ball. They received a bye in the opening round and were awarded a walkover in the quarter finals by Combe Down who could not raise a side.
Until the weekend, Gordano were very much favourites to win Somerset Premier but they suffered an unexpectedly big 32-0 away defeat against Old Redcliffinans 2nd XV
It means that Wiveliscombe, who have beaten Gordano twice
this season, are leaders of this division and very much back in the title race after winning 36-20 at Tor.
Meanwhile, top of the table Wellington will be chasing another double in the Cornwall and Devon League this coming weekend when they play away to Plymstock Oaks Albion.
Wellington, who beat Albion 39-19 in early October, maintained their position at the top of the table after winning 27-3 at home to Withycombe over the weekend.
It was a particularly impressive win because Wellington played almost the entire game without Somerset Under 20 second row Martin Walker who was sent off for alleged retaliation.
“Considering the circumstances and we were down to 14 men almost immediately, this was an outstanding victory,” said Wellington coach Allyn Chetland.
“We dominated all aspects of the game - the lads were exhausted at the end because they gave everything.
“Our match at Plymstock is going to be a very difficult game because they have one or two very talented players.”
Wellington have a one-point lead at the top over second-placed Penryn who won 50-7 away to Pirates Amateurs on Saturday.
However the biggest threat are Saltash in third sport who are only five points behind Wellington and have a game in hand. Wellington have a superior points difference which could decide the championship.
Wiveliscombe are involved in a top of the table clash at home to second-placed Avon who are only two points adrift of their rivals and have a crucial game in hand.
Wellington 2nd XV have no match in Somerset One while Wiveliscombe 2nd XV are home to Tor 2nd XV in Somerset Two South.
