WELLINGTON will be looking for another haul of five points when they play away to Withycombe in the Cornwall and Devon League on Saturday.

However, Withycombe were hammered 66-5 by leaders Penryn over the weekend and there is always the danger of a backlash.

“Withycombe will be looking to bounce back from this big defeat,” said Wellington coach Allyn Chetland who described his side’s 29-3 win against Torrington over the weekend “a job well done.”

He said: “It was not pretty to watch but we got what we wanted - they were a very physical side and played to their strengths.

“We played some sparkling rugby at times and scored five excellent tries.”

Wellington remain three points behind Penryn in second place on points difference from Saltash who won 35-20 at home to mid-table Bude.
