WELLINGTON will be looking to maintain their unbeaten home record this season when they play Hayle at the Athletic Ground in the Cornwall and Devon League on Saturday (2.30), writes Barry Knott.

In fact Wellington will be chasing their tenth successive victory and have not lost since they went down 19-14 away to leaders Penryn nearly three months ago.

During this spell they have moved up to third in the table and trail Penryn by four points, both sides having played the same number of games.

Hayle are 11th in the division and struggled to beat the bottom side Torrington over the weekend 26-20.

Wellington have also piled up the points this season and need only three more to top 500.

Wellington coach Allyn Chetland said: “I was pleased with the way the boys fought back at Bude. They were 21-10 down against a side who had not lost at home this season."
