Wiveliscombe Rugby Club’s ‘Run, Jog, Walk, Crawl’ around Clatworthy Reservoir on Saturday is expected to raise £1,200 for club funds.
The event attracted mostly walkers but first home of the serious runners was 14-year-old club member Kurt Gilbert, who completed the 8km course in 36 minutes.
He was followed home by Charlie Sharland, ten minutes behind.
About 60-plus runners and mostly walkers took part, including the organiser Robert Burston (extreme left), the club’s vice-chairman. “We will definitely organise another, possibly in the summer,” he said.
