FORMER Wellington Darts League player Ryan Searle competes in the second round of the PDC Home Tour tomorrow (Saturday).
Searle, who shot to fame when he beat world number one Michael van Gerwen to win the third round of the PDC Players Championship at Wigan in February, plays in Group Six, which includes world number four Rob Cross, Daniel Larsson and Luke Woodhouse.
Because of coronavirus, the televised competition is being played at players’ homes.
In his first round group Searle beat world number eight James Wade 5-3. The event is now down to the last 32 and the second round is again being staged in four-player groups with the winners going through to the quarter-finals.
The winners of the second round groups will receive £1,000 in appearance money.
