PAUL Short has been appointed assistant manager of Toolstation League club Wellington.

Short, who held a similar position at Taunton until Paul West was sacked in the summer, takes over from Kevin Hazeldine and will be at Wellington's FA Vase tie at Barnstaple tomorrow (Sept 15).
