WELLINGTON Wanderers Under 11s produced a superb all‑round performance on a bright winter’s morning as they welcomed Lympstone to the Playing Field.

From the first whistle, Wellington set the tone with crisp, confident passing that reflected some of their best football of the season. The early tempo allowed them to control possession and move the ball about with real purpose.

Defensively, the Wanderers were disciplined and alert, closing down Lympstone’s attackers quickly and refusing to give them time to settle. The back line stayed organised throughout, making important interceptions and showing great composure under pressure. In midfield.

Wellington’s work rate was outstanding. The players linked play intelligently, switching the ball into wide areas and threading clever passes that continually opened up space.

The forwards were equally impressive, combining well with the midfield and making sharp runs in behind the Lympstone defence. Their movement created several clear chances, and a handful of special goals capped off a memorable display.
