SKITTLES returns to the town tonight (Friday) when the Wellington Ex-Services League stages the latter rounds of the Cyril Hicks Singles Competition at the Conservative Club (downstairs).

The event is now down to the last 16 players, with the first of eight starting at 8pm and the second group an hour later.

The top four scores from each group go through to the final, which will be staged at the Cottage next Friday, September 11 (8pm start).

Only the eight players plus the sticker-up are allowed in the alley at any one time. Players must use hand sanitiser or wear gloves and observe social distancing.
