THE Conservative Club in High Street, Wellington, is to stage a triples skittles competition this summer.

The competition is open to men's, women's and mixed teams and entries close at the end of the month.

The winners of the event will receive £150 in prizemoney with £75 going to the runners-up. The entry fee is £15 per team with £5 going to the sticker-up. Non-members are welcome to enter the competition which is expected to begin early next month.

Garry White, who can be contacted on 07887 785839, said: "We decided on a three-a-side competition because it was felt it was more attractive than making it a team event.

"Non-members are very welcome to enter and they can pop into the club to pick up entry forms (01823 662353). Obviously we are hoping as many teams as possible enter the competition because there are no league skittles in the town during the summer."
