WELLINGTON A have made a good start to the season in the West Somerset Tennis League. They are lying second in the first division after winning three of their opening four matches.

They bounced back after losing 8-2 against Trull A to beat Trull B by the same score, Kings College 10-0 and Taunton A 6-4.

Trull A are the early leaders of the division, with Wellington A 22 points adrift in second place but with a game in hand on the Taunton side. The students at Kings College A are finding it tough going, having lost their opening three matches.

In Division Two, Wiveliscombe A have won only one of their three games, beating Taunton School 6-4.

Hemyock A are lying second in Division Three after beating Trull D 7-4 and Taunton B 10-1, although losing to Trull C 9-3.

In Division Four Wiveliscombe B have made an impressive start, winning both their matches, beating Bridgwater D 10 and Elms C 10-1
