Moortown 1 Panthers 4
IT was a well-deserved win for Panthers in a hotly contested Cup tie.
Panthers took control early creating several good chances without the needed finish. As the half progressed Moortown came more into the game with Joey Conway missing a penalty after 25 minutes. The rest of the half was end to end as you would expect from a derby.
Dan Clapp produced a fine save and his clearance produced a cross from Jack Lewis which was met with s header from Gareth Conway hitting the post. Joey Conway then hit the rebound onto the underside of the bar and then hit further shot that was superbly saved by the Panthers goalkeeper. Half-time arrived with the score somehow at 0-0. Panthers started the second half strongly with the break through coming after 5 minutes.
Three more quick goals followed ending the game as a contest. Moortown replied with a penalty converted by Aaron Hawkings 10 minutes from time.
