WELLINGTON will be looking to win only their second rugby game in two months when they play at home to second-placed Crediton in Regional Two South West today (Sat, 2.30p.m.).

Apart from coming from behind to beat Chard just before Christmas, Wellington's form has been patchy. After losing surprisingly to Wiveliscombe in their Boxing Day derby, they slumped away last Saturday to Teignmouth who lost heavily at Wellington earlier in the season.

Despite their loss at Teignmouth, Wellington's head coach Graham Dawe said: "It was a big effort by our players. Our scrums went well. Their defence was brilliant - we couldn't get over their line.

"One of our problems at the moment is we haven't been able to train since Christmas because of the bad weather. Obviously it is going to be tough against Crediton because they are one of the top two sides in the division."

Wellington 2nd XV, who have been very competitive this season and are up to third in Counties Three Somerset, face a tough away match against leaders Hornets - also today.

Wellington beat Somerton 33-15 last weekend to avenge an away loss against their rivals earlier this season.
