WELLINGTON Town swept to the top of South Division in the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League with a 2-0 home win over Frome Town last night (Tues).

It enabled them to pull off a double over Frome, having beaten their rivals 8-0 away in September.

Freddie Margetts put Wellington ahead midway through the first half and Ned Ogilvie made it 2-0 from the penalty spot ten minutes before half time.

"Although Frome hit the woodwork in the first half, I thought we were the better side," said manager Joe Conway afterwards.

"It was a good all-round display by the lads. We're top now but some of the other teams have games in hand."
