WELLINGTON Town moved to the top of South Division in the Western Counties Floodlit Youth Football League after beating 100 per centers Chard Town 1-0 away last night (Tues).

Wellington, who never won a game last season, now have a three-point lead after playing eight games.

The only goal of the game was scored by Freddie Margetts with a 30-yard free kick towards the end of the first half.

In the only other game played played last night, Wells City beat AxministerTown 3-1 at home. The fixture between Yeovil Town and Winscombne was postponed.

Wellington’s next game is away to Winscombe next Tuesday.
