WELLINGTON slumped to a 6-0 away defeat against unbeaten Barnstaple Town in the Premier Diivsion of the Toolstation League yesterday (Sat).
Wellington never seriously recovered from going behind in the first minute when Stuart Bowker beat goalkeeper Rhys Williams with a hard-driven low shot.
It all went downhill after this with Wellington suffering their second heaviest defeat of the season.
Wellington remain second from bottom, with six points from their opening ten matches.
It was not a good day for Wellington's senior sides with the Reserves losing 1-0 at home to Newtown Reserves in the first division of Devon and Exeter League although Mark Owen's outfit remain top.
Wellington A, however, won 6-4 away to Bridgwater Grasshoppers to remain unbeaten in the first division of the Taunton Saturday League.
Wellington are now up to fourth in the table, five points behind leaders Wellington Road Dons with a game in hand.
