WELLINGTON lst XV will be back in action after an enforced 14-day break when they play away to Truro in Regional Two South West tomorrow (Sat).

Wellington ended a dismal run in the league by winning their first match of 2024 - beating Cullompton 10-5 at the Athletic Ground at the beginning of this month. It was an important win for Wellington who had begun to lose their way and were conceding lots of points.

Truro will be chasing the season's double over Wellington, having won 31-26 at the Athletic Ground at the end of November. Wellington have only five remaining fixtures, three of these being at home - Burnham on Sea, Newton Abbot and North Petherton.

Wellington 2nd XV will be chasing a hat-trick of victories against Wiveliscombe 2nd XV when they play at home in Counties Three Somerset South tomorrow (2.30).

Wiveliscombe lst XV play at home to second-placed Tiverton in Counties One Western West. The Devon outfit beat Wivelliscombe 58-6 at home in late October.

However, Wiveliscombe are a much improved side since then and have since beaten leaders Plymstock Albion Oaks.
