WELLINGTON'S football match away to Chard Town tonight (Tues) in South Division of the Western Counties Floodlit Youth League has been called off.

"We knew last night but had been looking to play the game at Wellington, but that's not possible either because of the state of our ground," said Wellington's assistant manager Andy Govier today.

Wellington would have gone top if they had beaten the South Somerset side.

Wellington are not due to play again until October 21st when they are home to Frome Town.

"We may try to fit in a game before this," added Govier.
