Residents at Bishops Court in Wellington and family joined Kate Vaughan to celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday (February 19).
Kate - known as Betty - spent six years in the RAF before meeting her late husband Len and then moved to Canada where they lived for 50 years.
Betty moved to Bishops Court in 1995 following the loss of her husband.
She continues to live independently with daily support from her nephew, Roger Mattocks .
