ESTATE agency staff at Greenslade Taylor Hunt have been supporting the work of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance with a string of events.

Vicky Keating, head of Finance, HR & Compliance at the firm, handed over a cheque for £6,531.49 to representatives of the charity at their Wellington head office.

Each air ambulance mission costs about £3,000, while its operational costs are more than £5 million a year.

GTH chairman Duncan Brown said: “The air ambulance is a wonderful charity that relies entirely upon private donations.”

Money was raised through the Coast to Coast bike ride, which saw Fiona Laramy, Claire Alers-Hankey, George Bone and Catherine Wood cycle a 55-mile route through Dorset and Somerset.

Other funds were raised through cake sales and a coastal boat trip, while GTH gave £2,500 from its charitable trust to support the charity’s work.
