PLANS for Wellington Town Council’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Fair on Saturday, June 4, are taking shape and will be part of four days of national celebration to mark the event.
Town clerk Dave Farrow said this week: “We see this being a great opportunity to attract people to the town centre and be a way of bringing people together in celebration of the Queen’s life and service to the country.
“All town centre businesses are invited to embrace the event and join in. Like previous Street Fairs, High Street and South Street will be closed from 6am-6pm. The event will run from 10am-4pm.
“If you are located in the High Street or South Street the road closures will clearly affect deliveries and access.
“If you have any questions about this, would like a stall application or want to offer any other support for the event, contact event co-ordinator deputy clerk Annette Kirk, email info@
