BLUEGRASS heroes Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band are busy in the recording studio putting together their sixth album.

The band, formed in Wellington in 2005, underwent a line-up change in 2014 and are now ready to debut some of the new songs which will feature on their next CD and vinyl release.

They are putting on another Bluegrass Night concert on Saturday, April 16, at The Beambridge Inn – in a change to the previously-advertised mini-fest – where a full set featuring new songs and some old classics.

The band’s special guests are award-winning Cardboard Fox, a quartet who have forged a specific blend of folk and bluegrass music and are also touring their new album, Out of Mind. The band feature the talents of nationally-renowned The Carrivick Sisters.
