A NUMBER of properties on the Blackdown Hills above Wellington lost their power supply on Friday afternoon (May 29).

National Grid said there had been a fault on its high voltage power lines in the area between Churchinford and Otterford.

It said about a dozen properties were affected by the outage, which was reported shortly after midday.

Engineers were working to restore supplies and expected to have the last of the properties reconnected by 8 pm.
