Two members of the Wellington branch of the Royal British Legion were acknowledged with county awards for their efforts for the organisation at the Somerset and City of Bristol County Conference.

County president Commodore Bob Mansergh OBE MA presented the awards.

The new Wellington branch standard bearer Bob Trickey was awarded a cup for Most Improved Standard Bearer and Wellington branch secretary Peter Critchard a County Certificate of Appreciation in recognition for his hard work for the County Conference committee meetings.

The awards were presented to Wellington branch chairman Ray Filler who handed them over at a branch meeting.

Rockwell Green Primary School pupils’ pictures of Remembrance Time displays were on display at the conference. Many comments were made about the amount of thought the children had given to the fallen in making their displays.
