A PARISH survey is being carried out to discover what kind of development villagers in Burlescombe think should and should not be allowed.

The parish council is preparing a neighbourhood priority statement (NPS), a document which should be taken into consideration when planning applications are determined.

Councillors want to know local people’s thoughts on issues such whether new homes should be sustainable, affordable, and have the facilities and infrastructure needed to support them.

The views of villagers will be fed into the NPS, a draft of which will be publicised in October for people to make comments.

The NPS will set out Burlescombe’s local priorities for growth, change, and investment in the longer term.

The online survey is anonymous and closes at midnight on Saturday, October 3.
