MEMBERS of Wellington Carers Support Group celebrated the group’s fifth birthday when they met at Wellington Medical Centre for their monthly meeting.
The group was formed to support unpaid carers, those who care for a relative, friend or neighbour and so on.
Meetings give carers a couple of hours respite away from the one they care for, and have a cup of tea and a chat among themselves.
The group hosts speakers talking on various subjects most months. It meets on the first Monday of each month at 2-3.30pm at the Medical Centre in Mantle Street. Phone 07756 036440 or email [email protected] for more information.
Some of the carers are pictured with Wellington Mayor Cllr Janet Lloyd, Deputy Mayor Cllr Mark Lithgow, Cllr Vivienne Stock-Williams and Terry Hodson, who has run the group for the last two-and-a-half years.
