WELLINGTON Town Council is holding a civic service in St John the Baptist Church on Sunday (October 4).

The Mayor, Cllr Janet Lloyd, would like to extend a warm invitation to all residents of Wellington. The service will take on the format of a songs of praise service for harvest celebrating all that is produced in Wellington both voluntarily and commercially.

The growth of the voluntary sector and the community and all that is created from it will be worshipped alongside hymns, a performance from Court Fields School and prayers.

Cllr Lloyd hopes as many clubs, societies, organisations and individuals as possible will be able to attend. The service will be at 4pm taken by Rev. Tim Treanor. After the service there will be refreshments in the church hall.
