A WELLINGTON woman suffered a heart attack and died after drinking too much alcohol, an inquest heard.

Emma Bullen, aged 37, was found dead at her home in Sanford Court, South Street, on October 22 last year.

Somerset Senior Coroner Samantha Marsh, sitting in the Old Municipal Buildings, Taunton, recorded a conclusion that Tiverton-born Ms Bullen’s death was ‘alcohol-related’.

Mrs Marsh said: “Emma had a long history of alcohol use and abuse and this had caused underlying damage to her heart.

“On the balance of probabilities, she suffered a cardiac event as a result of the underlying cardiac damage.”
