POLICE are appealing for information after a dog bit a 14-year-old girl who attends Court Fields School in Wellington.

Town-based PCSO Simon Bramley said the girl was walking to school on Wednesday, November 22, at around 8-8.15am when the incident happened at the end of High Path, almost opposite the Station Road dental practice.

The dog owner, who had two dogs, was walking towards the girl when his ‘large Jack Russell-type’ dog jumped up and bit the girl on the thigh.
