MILVERTON played Huish Champflower in a friendly cricket match on a beautiful Sunday. Both sides scored more than 300 runs with sixes galore creating a super atmosphere.

Spectator John Walker said: “What a nice way to spend a pleasant Milverton afternoon watching a game of cricket, slaking my thirst on an ice-cold beer.

“There was an appreciative gathering of spectators, who applauded every boundary in lovely surroundings. The result, does it matter? – not really – just glad cricket is back!”
