THIS year’s Great Somerset Cycle in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice will be held next month.
Cyclists can choose to tackle a 40-mile route between the in-patient units at Bishop’s Hull and Yeovil mainly on B roads or vice-versa or an 80-mile round trip.
Riders, who will set off at 9am on Sunday, March 24, pay £25 to enter and are encouraged to raise sponsorship for St Margaret’s.
On-course mechanical support will be available in case of punctures, while refreshments will be on offer after the ride, with a water station at the half way stage.
Sonia Bateman, events fundraiser at the charity, said: “Spring is a fantastic time to enjoy our beautiful countryside by taking part in an organised cycle ride.”
